On April 29th, 2017 we helped organize a Climate March as a sister march to the national march in Washington, D.C. Our local march attracted a lot of interest, and we had over 300 participate. This year there was no national march. Were the environment and climate change no longer important? Had all the problems been solved? Or, were people getting complacent, tired of resistance and militancy. Whatever the answer, a small but dedicated band of men, women and children gathered on Sunday to march in Pottstown for the second annual Pottstown Climate March.
Here we are ready to launch at around 2 pm. Like last year we had the kids lead us. After all, they will be in charge of this world soon. As you can see from the clothing, the weather was starkly different from last year. In 2017 we had an unseasonably warm day close to 80. This year it was in the low 50s with a blistering wind.
Here’s my friend Kathy and her sign.
And one of the non-profits who came to the pavilion.

A final thought . . . save us.
Don’t wait too long or it will be too late!
